Patrick has worked in the Lloyd’s insurance market for 30 years with over 10 years specialising in marine liability of all classes, plus ports & terminals and logistics.

Patrick joined Miller in 2019 from Alston Gayler (AG) where his focus has been on European trade, with particular attention to the Benelux region, but has extensive knowledge and experience of placing programmes and facilities throughout the America’s and the Far East/Australia.
He has travelled extensively throughout these areas, developed close contacts with the local brokers and risk managers alike, leading the introduction of new business into London as well as the restructuring of existing placements.  

Recently, Patrick has been involved in assisting new and existing clients develop new products outside the marine liability arena, including property and casualty lines, as well as oversight on in-house captive programmes.
Patrick also underwrote, over a period of 5 years, for two Lloyd’s syndicates, at the second of which he was the dedicated Marine liability underwriter, with his role including business forecasting to Lloyd’s and the acquisition of reinsurance protection.  
Outside of insurance he enjoys spending time with his son, travel, following test cricket and his local cricket club, where he is an honorary life member, and collecting and drinking wine.
