Alternative Risk Transfer (ART)
Sometimes a traditional insurance policy is not the best fit for a project. This is where an alternative risk transfer (ART) solution could be beneficial, either alongside a traditional insurance policy or as a standalone method. On many occasions we have seen these innovative insurance solutions used as a ‘deal enabler’ to unlock difficult risk issues for investors and lenders to enable investment and lending decisions, as well as free up capital and reduce borrowing costs.
We are experienced in many forms of ART, including but not limited to:
- Parametric insurance
- Performance guarantee insurance
- Captives
- Surety bonds
- Deductible buy down
- Permit and title risks
