What you’ll do:

The role of the Project Analyst is to support the effective delivery of transformation initiatives by providing project coordination, reporting, governance and administrative support across the portfolio. The role will help ensure projects are properly planned, monitored and controlled, and that agreed processes, tools, templates and frameworks are applied consistently to support successful project and change delivery.

Role Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and delivery of transformation initiatives through the maintenance of project plans, action logs, RAID logs and status updates.
  • Organise and support project meetings, governance forums and working groups, including preparing agendas, documenting actions and following up on next steps.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation to ensure records are accurate, up to date and stored appropriately.
  • Support the production of regular reporting for projects and the wider portfolio, including progress updates, milestone tracking and management information.
  • Track project actions, dependencies, risks and issues, escalating where appropriate to support timely resolution.
  • Assist in monitoring project progress against agreed scope, timelines and deliverables, highlighting any deviations from plan.
  • Support the consistent application of project standards, governance, tools, templates and frameworks across transformation activity.
  • Contribute to portfolio management activity, including reporting, scheduling, governance packs and action tracking, in support of the wider Transformation & Portfolio Management Office remit.
  • Liaise effectively with stakeholders across the business to gather updates, maintain momentum and support delivery activity.
  • Assist with change activity as required, including communications planning, stakeholder tracking, adoption activities and implementation support.
  • Support continuous improvement of project and portfolio management processes to enhance efficiency, transparency and effectiveness.
  • Adhere to and fully meet the expectations of Miller, as set out in its policies and procedures, training material, and embedded in its systems and controls. Our policies and procedures are written to encapsulate the compliance, legal and financial crime related legislation and regulations which apply to Miller.
  • Comply with any external rules and requirements imposed on individuals performing their role at Miller, such as Lloyd’s byelaws and FCA rules.
  • Promote the Miller brand and values to enhance Miller’s reputation in the market.

Qualifications    

  • Good general level of education.
  • Project management qualification or working towards one would be desirable (for example PRINCE2 Foundation, APM or equivalent).

Knowledge

  • Basic understanding of project management disciplines, tools and governance.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Awareness of project reporting, risk and issue management, and action tracking.
  • Understanding of portfolio management and change management principles would be beneficial.

Experience     

  • Experience in a project support, PMO, business support or administrative role would be beneficial.
  • Experience of supporting delivery across multiple workstreams or stakeholders would be advantageous.
  • Financial services experience would be helpful but is not essential.
