Adam Parsons

Adam joined AHJ (predecessor of AHJ Miller) in February 2020 to set up Global Product Recall, one the company’s three underwriting divisions, specialising in contaminated products (recall), consumer products (recall), product guarantee and financial loss (recall) and auto parts (recall).

Adam joined the insurance market in January 1989, writing marine cargo and has a great deal of experience in underwriting a large number of food and beverage manufacturing/processing operations as well as consumer goods, industrial products and auto parts.

He left the market in 1997 and prior to his return in April 2004, he was a Crisis Management Consultant working for ARC Risk Management (which became red24 and now WorldAware), where he provided pre-incident and response services to the insurance industry and corporate sector for Product Recall and Kidnap and Ransom.

Adam is qualified in Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP), the management system in which food safety is addressed through the analysis of biological, chemical, and physical hazards from raw material production, procurement and handling, to manufacturing, distribution and consumption of the finished product. He is also one of the most experienced underwriters in the Lloyd’s/London market underwriting North American recall risks.

Adam has held senior positions writing product recall risks in both the company market and Lloyd’s and is regarded as one of the most experienced underwriters in this field, specifically with North American risks, where he is the longest serving underwriter in the London market for this territory.
