Jake Tobin

Jake is Miller’s Chief Commercial Officer responsible for commercial strategy, client growth, marketing and market management.

He oversees strategic client development and territorial management, alongside working with Miller’s Mergers & Acquisitions & Strategic Solutions group. Jake has worked both in London & New York and has held a variety of senior and international positions since starting in the insurance industry in 2010.

Prior to joining Miller Jake worked for Aon in their M&A and Financial Sponsors business, originally as a client producer originating deals and managing large fund relationships across EMEA and North America. Jake subsequently went on to lead Aon’s EMEA and then Global Financial Sponsors team developing an integrated industry vertical across risk, health & wealth solutions along with supporting funds on developing cross-portfolio procurement programmes. During his tenure he worked on 750+ transactions across the Infrastructure, Industrials, Business Services and Retail sectors, including numerous complex global carve-out’s. 

He started his career with Lockton, followed by Baronsmead a specialist asset management focused broker after

Jake has supported a variety of graduate and mentorship programmes and is passionate about the role that insurance plays across the economic and social landscape. He graduated from Reading University with a Batchelors in Geography.

Outside of work Jake can be found running after his family, on a golf course, cooking outside or in the mountains with his first love skiing having worked for L’Ecole du Ski Francais and racing at a competitive level.
