Ellie Maconachy

As Head of Marine Liability Reinsurance, Ellie leads the team in providing reinsurance solutions for International Group P&I Clubs, other marine liability insurance providers and transport related mutuals.

She is responsible for managing a number of key client reinsurance programmes, as well as supporting the team in new business opportunities and managing market relationships.

Her expertise in designing and placing reinsurance programmes include structuring capital reinsurance products, retention protection programmes, and aggregate reinsurance placements as well as excess placements with capacity up to USD 3bn.

She is a subject matter expert in marine liability risks that shipowners, charterers and other marine industry professionals face including contractual liability and extended cover requirements.
