Edwina Charlton

Edwina jointly leads Miller’s M&A and Strategic Solutions team.

Edwina trained and qualified as a corporate lawyer with Mayer Brown in London. She then spent five years with Ashurst in Singapore, where she advised a broad corporate and private equity client base on cross border M&A with a particular focus on the financial institutions and energy sectors. Edwina’s experience in Asia also included client secondments to Aviva and Mitsui (with some time spent in Delhi) where she gained invaluable insight into working closely with the business on a day-to-day basis.

Relocating from Asia to London, Edwina started her career in insurance industry with Marsh, advising corporates and sponsors on insuring public and private transactions across all sectors and jurisdictions, ranging in deal size from £10 million to £8 billion. After Marsh and before joining Miller, Edwina spent 4 and a half years as a Director with Paragon, supporting a range of global clients investing into the UK, Europe and APAC. 
Edwina has gained a deserved reputation for excellence, especially in relation to running large, complex auction processes and is known for her attention to detail and commerciality.

Edwina has a degree in Modern Languages from the University of Edinburgh.

A keen sportswoman, Edwina has previously represented her country and continues to bring a sense of competitive drive and commitment to all aspects of her life.
