Andrew Johnson

Andrew jointly leads Miller’s Mergers & Acquisitions and Strategic Solutions team. He is a senior corporate M&A lawyer who started his career with ten years at Squire Patton Boggs in London including time in Hong Kong advising his private equity and corporate client base. This included a year within Lloyds Bank's mid-market team evaluating and implementing work-out strategies for distressed mid-market and private equity-backed businesses across multiple industries and a 6-month secondment to Live Nation, the world’s largest live entertainment company.

Moving into insurance with Marsh, Andrew spent four years as a senior member of their Private Equity M&A (PEMA) team, ultimately leading their sales function where he advised clients on public and private transactions ranging in deal size from £1 million to £8 billion across all sectors predominantly in Europe, but also including Africa, South America and the Middle East. He then moved to lead the growth at Paragon for four and a half years before their eventual exit to the Ardonagh Group in June 2024.

He is known for his commercial, pragmatic style. His network and broad industry experience also allow him to enjoy finding solutions for esoteric risks that sit outside the scope of a traditional M&A risk format.

Andrew has a degree in Physiology & Anatomy from the University of Bristol.

Growing up as one of six brothers and now with three lively boys of his own, Andrew never receives a break from negotiating.
