Safi joined Miller’s Paris office in 2021. Safi’s role is to source capacity for MGA, broker, and insurtech clients, whether through an insurer directly or through a reinsurance solution.

He has experience in implementing delegated underwriting agreements and placing reinsurance treaties. He also has an excellent understanding of the insurtech world, and the new innovation and distribution challenges for (re)insurers.

Safi has been in the re-insurance industry since 2009. He previously worked for a French digital insurer, developing delegated underwriting partnerships across Europe for non-Life solutions and innovative products.

Prior to this, Safi worked at a global reinsurance broker as a Reinsurance Actuary, modelling companies’ books of business to advise on reinsurance strategies aligned with their appetites. He also spent time in London as a Divisional Director for French speaking cedants, broking and placing reinsurance treaties in the Lloyd’s and international markets. He started his career as an Actuarial consultant.

Safi holds a Master’s degree from Ecole Centrale de Lille as an Engineer and a MSc in Business Development from SKEMA Lille. He also spent two years at the Centre Etudes Actuarielles to develop actuarial capabilities.

In his spare time, Safi loves to travel and enjoys wakeboarding on the Seine in the suburbs of Paris. He also enjoys spending time with startup founders to help them think out of the box.
