Cargo & Stock Throughput Insurance

Protecting your cargo and stock at every stage of its journey.

Stock Throughput Insurance

The increasing complexity of modern supply chains brings new risks. For cargo and stock transport insurance to be truly effective, it needs to be flexible, seamless, and specialised—just like your brokerage team.

Whether working directly with insured clients or through intermediaries, our team delivers smart, cost-effective insurance solutions to clients around the world.

We provide solutions that cover every stage of the supply chain and develop customised coverage and policy terms that protect against commercial loss.

Cargo and stock throughput (STP)

Cargo and STP insurance covers a company’s goods/inventory against physical loss or damage whilst at the insured’s risk anywhere in the supply chain, in transit and in storage.

Key Industries

  • Auto and aviation parts
  • Commodities (soft and hard)
  • Construction
  • Consumer goods (clothing and electronics)
  • Food & beverage (chilled and frozen)
  • Manufacturing & distribution
  • Oil & gas (servicing and products)

GLOBAL CAPABILITIES

We can place cargo business from around the globe, with a specific focus on North America and Europe.

What is stock throughput insurance

What We Cover

Project cargo and delay in start-up (DSU)

Physical loss or damage to project-critical assets while in transit, from manufacturing to project site, can severely delay the scheduled commercial operation date of a project and turn a relatively small cargo loss into a much more significant financial loss due to delay-in-start-up. Cover included for expenses incurred for forwarding and expediting, following physical loss or damage to any goods.

Standalone stock

Many companies are unaware of the benefits of stand-alone stock insurance. We can arrange cover for an organisation’s inventory against all-risk physical loss or damage as a raw material, under process (subject to process clause) or as a finished product.

Trade disruption insurance (TDI)

TDI covers the financial consequences of disruption to the supply chain, even when there is no physical loss or damage to the policy holder’s assets.

We understand that every client’s requirements and exposures are unique and tailor policies accordingly.
