Miller builds out marine P&I offering with senior hire

Miller, the leading independent specialist (re)insurance broker, is pleased to announce the appointment of Nick Taylor as Head of Direct P&I. 

Nick brings over 15 years of experience in the sector, having most recently served as Head of Coastal and Inland at NorthStandard, where he was responsible for the club’s small ship P&I business. Prior to the merger with North, he held several senior roles at Standard Club, including leading two major projects: the incorporation of an Irish insurer following Brexit and the separation of the club’s management from Charles Taylor.

Nick’s extensive P&I experience spans Europe, the Americas, and the Middle East. He also spent seven years in Singapore, where he led Standard Club’s Asia-Pacific underwriting function. 

In his new role, Nick will be responsible for developing Miller’s Direct P&I broking team, further enhancing Miller’s proposition to marine clients. He will report into Nick Summers, Head of Direct Marine.
