Miller bolsters Accident & Health team with appointment of Alessia Lombardi
Miller, the independent specialist (re)insurance broker, is pleased to announce the appointment of Alessia Lombardi as an Account Executive in its Accident & Health team.
Alessia joins in September 2024 and will report to Tim Nagle, Miller’s Head of Sports & Entertainment.
Alessia brings to the role more than two decades’ experience in the Lloyd’s and international markets, with deep expertise in complex placements across Accident & Health products, as well intergovernmental and non-governmental organisations.
Alessia was previously an executive director at Special Contingency Risks, where she led the Accident & Health team. Before this, she served for over a decade at Willis Towers Watson, latterly as a divisional director, with a particular focus on broking Southern European Accident & Health business into the London market.
The appointment continues Miller’s investment in its Accident & Health team, which is one of the leading offerings in the market. In total, Miller has grown its wider Sports & Entertainment team headcount by over 30% since the start of 2022.
Tim Nagle, Head of Sports & Entertainment at Miller, commented: “Alessia’s appointment is another exciting milestone in the continued development of our market-leading Accident & Health proposition, and the wider Sports & Entertainment practice at Miller. Alessia’s deep product expertise and experience structuring complex placements across international markets, including high-risk territories, will prove invaluable as we continue to serve the complex and evolving needs of our clients globally.”
Alessia Lombardi added: “I'm very pleased to be back in the market and thrilled to be joining such a dynamic and successful team. Miller has established itself as a leading player in the Accident & Health arena, and I look forward to working with Tim and the team to develop its proposition further still.”
