Dana is Miller’s Group Chief Operating Officer and a member of Miller’s Group Executive Committee. He is responsible for leading technology, operations and central services and overseeing the continuous transformational change that will ensure Miller’s capabilities, across the firm, are integrated, innovative and capable of shaping and delivering “the better future” for our clients and our people.

Dana has a broad background in people leadership and development as well as execution and delivery.  He has worked in large organisations (Chevron, Bank of America, Citibank, and Credit Suisse) as well as smaller, focussed financial institutions (Global Asset Management, TPG Axon Capital, and egg PLC). He was CIO and Head of Operations in Ireland for RenaissanceRe and COO of Aldermore Bank PLC.  He has experience in the private equity driven arena and has enabled companies to IPO, acquire and be acquired.

Dana is a citizen of Ireland and the U.S. and has lived and worked in the U.K., U.S., Australia, Bermuda and Ireland, as well as having held positions responsible for delivery in all continents – with the exception of Antarctica, so far! 

Dana is a member of the Worshipful Company of Information Technologists City Livery Company and an annual attendee of the TED main conference in Vancouver. His education includes a Doctor of Jurisprudence (law degree) as well as an M.B.A. and B.B.A in business.

His philosophy revolves around people do things for people and the team knows what needs to be done: If leaders are looking to set the groundwork to make magic happen, they need to empower individuals and teams by communicating and, more importantly, giving the team a voice and a forum to be heard.  And secondly, leaders are the kind of person that people do things for by providing inspiration, and environment for ideas, innovation, creativity and achieving results in a way that is fun and rewarding!
