An excellent opportunity for an experienced insurance professional to join our Ipswich team.


Our Ipswich office continues to grow, and we are looking for an experienced insurance professional to join our Casualty team. This is a truly varied Technician role, working within a close-knit team.


The role will involve

  • Keep track of impending renewals, provide renewal information to Account Executives in good time to enable terms to be obtained and firm orders placed
  • Liaise with Account Executives to ensure all relevant information is gathered in the preparation of market documentation (Renewals, Endorsements etc) and that it matches the client/markets requirements
  • Liaise with Account Executives to achieve agreement from markets where required and maintain diary/pending system to monitor progress
  • Responsible for the accurate and timely production of client documentation (Market Reform Contracts, Evidence of Cover, Policies etc.) 
  • Ensure that market documentation is closed in a timely manner, making particular note of Premium Payment Warranty provisions and contract certainty deadlines and diarising as appropriate
  • Liaise with placement and technical teams to assist the delivery and processing of insurance placements, using the relevant systems
  • Maintain accurate and concise placing files, using the corporate document management system
  • Responsible for liaising with compliance to ensure all procedures are followed
  • Responsible for the accuracy and timely input of data in all systems 
  • Organise the recording, processing and payment of premiums, other insurance/non insurance documentation in OpenTwins, including the maintenance of records to monitor 'missing' items
  • Responsible for the preparation and submission of London Market Insurance documentation including submission of LPANs and supporting documents to Xchanging 
  • Review, monitor and provide resolution to technical questions from clients, markets, credit control, claims and the business unit, to ensure that the client’s best interests are maintained
  • Provide updates and progress reports to management as required
  • Maintain diary system to ensure that files are appropriately progressed
  • Monitor signings received from Xchanging and ensure timely resolution of queries and settlement of premiums and advise the business as required

The candidate

  • CII progress desirable
  • GCSE English and Maths at C or above (or equivalent)
  • Experience in a technical role within insurance
  • Experience in Lloyd’s market preferable
  • Experience within International Casualty market ideal
