We are looking for an experienced claims professional to join a large London based Marine Claims team to provide a prompt, accurate and efficient claims service for the benefit of Miller, its clients and the market. 


We currently have multiple Claims Handler vacancies in Marine Liability, Hull and Machinery. 

The Opportunity 

With a hybrid working pattern and exposure to high profile clients; this role provides an excellent opportunity for a claims broker to come in. This role will enable you to further develop and expand client relationships in this market facing role, and because of the close working relationship with the placing team, there is superb scope for development and growth in this role.
 

Role Responsibilities

Ensure a swift response and settlement of claims, whilst constantly reviewing service standards
Negotiate claims with markets in order to maximise client retention
Provide advice to clients where required in respect of claims
Ensure timely processing of all claims documents and answer enquires relating to claims processing
Ensure the secure, efficient and auditable handling of client monies and proactively manage payments
Maintain and update in-house systems
Liaise with placing teams and other areas of Miller to ensure overall client requirements are met
Prepare statistical claims data for both internal and external use
Maintain strong client and market relationships as appropriate
Perform quality control checks on all documentation
Adhere to and meet fully the expectations of Miller, as set out in its policies and procedures, training material, and embedded in its systems and controls. Our policies and procedures are written to encapsulate the compliance, legal and financial crime related legislation and regulations which apply to Miller.
