Jake brings a huge passion for colleague & client development, with 15 years of experience in commercial focused roles, where most previously he was Global Co-Head of Financial Sponsors at Aon, leading their broad based transactional and advisory proposition for the global asset management industry.
At Miller, Jake will work with all global colleagues to help deliver service excellence and product innovation, along with driving the commercial growth agenda across the ever-expanding suite of capabilities that Miller has.
Construction
At the end of last year, Miller significantly added to its Construction capabilities with the hiring of Stephen Leeming, James Cook and Charlie Hayter.
Each bring over 20 years’ experience and deep market expertise - Stephen in civil engineering; James in the oil, power and gas sectors; and Charlie Hayter on wholesale and structured reinsurance programs.
- Stephen began his insurance career focusing on public-private partnerships, first at Aon, before joining JLT Specialty (now part of Marsh McLennan) in 2007. Since then, he has specialised in international civil engineering projects and contractor programs.
- James began his career in the global construction team at WTW in 2003, where he worked for over a decade. In 2014, he moved to Marsh, where he developed and placed insurance programs for some of the largest energy and infrastructure projects around the world.
- Charlie brings over fifteen years of experience in (re)insurance underwriting, client servicing, and broking, specialising in construction risks across Lloyd’s and overseas markets. This includes roles at JLT Re and WTW.

Real Estate
Miller’s newly formed, dedicated Real Estate team brings additional capabilities and expertise in delivering solutions for any clients with assets in the UK and Europe, helping them to manage and mitigate risks while optimising returns for all stakeholders.
The team is led by Steve Andrews and Chris Dines.
- Steve began his career over 30 years ago, starting at Aon and then moving to WTW, Marsh and most recently, Gallagher where he established and led their Real Estate team for 13 years.
- Chris, also bringing over 30 years’ industry experience, has held a number of senior and underwriting roles across the real estate insurance sector, including at HSBC, WTW, Aon, RSA and Gallagher.
