Miller Insurance Services LLP has extended its partnership for a further two years with the BT Sport Industry Awards.

As part of the agreement, Miller will become an official category partner of the new Event of the Year category. Furthermore, Sport Industry Group, organisers of the BT Sport Industry Awards, and Miller will run a Spotlight Week on sports events.

As part of the week-long focus on sports events, scheduled to take place in May,  Sport Industry Group will publish a series of features, interviews and expert analysis on all topics facing this part of the sector. In addition, Miller will host an invite-only event for senior practitioners from right across the industry to share best practice, knowledge and lessons learned.

Sport events risk management is one of Miller’s key specialisms and our dedicated team understands the risks associated with this highly specialist area.

James Hands, Head of Sport and Entertainment at Miller, said:

“We have built an extensive team of sport and entertainment specialists at Miller and we truly understand the key risks that face any organisation hosting an event. By continuing our partnership with the BT Sport Industry Awards and with the Spotlight Week we will continue to celebrate and importantly help support those at the forefront of sports events delivery.”

Alex Coulson, Managing Director, Sport Industry Group, added:

“As a company we have benefitted from Miller’s expertise and service and we know that many others in the sector do too. The Spotlight Week will also provide a valuable opportunity for event organisers and governing bodies to grow their knowledge to help them deliver excellent sports events.”
