Miller joins forces with Zurich, LINK and iCAN to bring the important discussion of white privilege to Dive In 2020, with Afua Hirsch one of the confirmed panellists.

What is privilege? How do we recognise our own privilege? How do we use it to create positive change?

These are just some of the challenging yet important questions to be tackled at this year’s Dive In 2020 event ‘Using White Privilege for Positive Change’, taking place virtually on Wednesday 23 September between 17:30 - 19:00 GMT.

A collaboration between Dive In Local Festival partners, Miller, Zurich, LINK and iCAN, this 90-minute open and honest conversation on the concept of privilege, with a particular focus on matters relating to race, ethnic minorities and members of the LGBTQ+ community, is guaranteed to make you think.

This virtual event will be facilitated by Brian Corr, senior leader at the Financial Conduct Authority and one of EMpower’s 2019 Top 15 Advocate Executives. Fellow confirmed panellists are British journalist and author of ‘Brit(ish): On Race, Identity and Belonging’, Afua Hirsch and family law barrister and LGBTQ+ activist, Stephen Lue.

Further speakers are to be confirmed in the coming weeks.

Don’t miss the chance to be part of this interactive session where you can ask questions of our speakers, share your thoughts and experiences on the topic of privilege, and be part of this important conversation.
