She began her insurance career in 2010 in Miller's Cargo & Stock Throughput team, focusing on stock-throughput, marine cargo, project cargo and supply-chain risks predominantly emanating from North America. She moved to Marine War in 2021.

From the age of 10, Ruby has played football at a semi-professional level for teams such as Leyton Orient, West Ham Utd and Charlton Athletic.
