She is a trained lawyer and specialised in marine, transport and logistic law and insurance law including hull, cargo, reinsurance, and civil liability.

More recently she worked in special risks insurance, subsequently taking on the head of claims role for a broking house. 

Julia also has a master’s degree in Maritime Law and Business and can speak Spanish and Italian.

In her spare time, Julia enjoys going to the opera, theatre, and museums.
