The role will involve 

  • Working closely with developers to ensure internally developed systems are optimally designed
  • Developing the architecture, tools, procedures and methods employed in the operating environment 
  • Leading the design of the data warehouse, integrating data from various sources to deliver value
  • Creating solutions for data issues (Data quality, Data mapping, Metadata management, Migration and Reporting solutions)
  • Taking responsibility for the support and maintenance of existing BI and reporting applications and systems
  • Continuously developing the tools, procedures and methods employed in the software development process in line with technological advances and business requirements
  • Coordinating and reviewing the work of team members. Managing projects as assigned to time and budget criteria
  • Providing supervisory and training assistance for more junior members of the team

The candidate 

Essential

  • Data warehouse modelling skills
  • Advanced Transact SQL
  • Performance tuning (indexes, query plans, CTE’s, query hints)
  • Microsoft BI Stack (SSMS, SSIS, SSAS, Power BI

Preferred

  • Knowledge of Azure
  • Source Control – TFS / Azure Devops
  • Experience in agile development methodology
  • DAX / MDX
