Miller Chief Executive Graham Clarke has been re-elected as chairman of the London and International Insurance Brokers' Association (LIIBA), an association that represents insurance brokers in the London and international markets. This will be his second year in the post. He has been on the governing body of LIIBA and its predecessor, the London Market Brokers’ Committee since 2008.

Adrian Clark of Aon Benfield, Jeremy Cooke of Marsh and Steve Hearn of Willis were re-elected as deputy chairmen.

Six new members have joined the LIIBA Board:

• Carl Beardmore (BMS Group)

• Tim Coles (Howden Insurance Brokers)

• Adrian Girling (JLT Specialty)

• Paul Jack (Lockton Companies)

• Simon Rice (Lonmar Global Risks)

• Jonathan Turnbull (RFIB Group)

Those stepping down from the Board are former chairman Jonathan Palmer-Brown, ex-deputy chairman George Boden, Patrick Holcroft and Julian James.

Three other members of Miller’s partnership board have been reappointed to LIIBA committees:

• James Geffen (Head of Reinsurance) - LIIBA Brokers Reinsurance Executive Committee

• Xavier Villers (Head of Marine) - Chairman of LIIBA’s Marine Executive Committee

LIIBA has more than 135 members, representing nearly all the London-based international broker sector which is responsible for handling premiums through the London market worth more than GBP45bn a year and many billions more across the world. These brokers contribute an estimated GBP2.4bn a year to UK invisible earnings.
