Credit card and personal accident
We have significant experience arranging accident cover linked to credit card purchased travel.
Coverage applies when a card is used to purchase a ticket. The sums insured range from US$50,000 to US$1,000,000 depending on the card type (Platinum cards, for example, normally carry the highest sum). There are no accumulation or accident limits applied to policies.
To assess each risk, insurers will require the following information:-
- Total number of cards
- Split by card type
- Transaction data for common carrier tickets purchased, if available
Related coverages
- Mandatory accidental death coverage for all tickets purchased on public transport systems.
