Non-appearance
The non-appearance of artistes or personalities can result in substantial out of pocket expenses and lost profit.
We arrange insurance to protect organisers, promoters and sponsors against such non-appearance.
Non-appearance covers are applicable to:
- Artistes
- Boxers
- Golfers
- Singers
- Musicians
- Conductors
- Theatrical impresarios
- Speakers and performers
Insured interests include:
- Organisers: reduction in box office and media revenues due to non-appearance of the insured artiste where performances are not cancelled
- Promoters: refunds of advance ticket sales or loss of expenses or gross revenue, where the non-appearance causes cancellation of performance(s)
- Theatre management: loss of guaranteed fees to performers or speakers
- Production companies: increased cost in engaging substitute or understudy
- Sponsors: refunds of sponsorship monies
Coverage
Typical coverage provided by a non-appearance policy Includes:
- Personal accident
- Sickness
- Death
Or any cause beyond the control of the assured and the named insured person(s).
Excludes:
- Financial causes
- Lack of support or sales
- Deliberate act of the Assured or Insured person(s)
- War
- Radioactive contamination
