Press information

21 April 2008

Miller Insurance Services Ltd (Miller) is pleased to announce the appointment of Nick Lyons as chairman, effective from 1 May 2008. Nick will be the first non-executive chairman of Miller and he replaces Iain Webb-Wilson, who retires after 37 years at Miller, seven of which as chairman.

Nick was appointed to the board of Miller Insurance Services Limited as a non-executive director in May 2004 and became Deputy Chairman in January 2007. Previously, Nick worked for JP Morgan and later Salomon Brothers, and between 1995 and 2001 he ran the European Financial Institutions Group at Lehman Brothers.

Since his retirement from Lehman Brothers, Nick has joined the boards of Catlin Insurance Company (UK) Limited and Catlin Underwriting Agency Limited.

Graham Clarke, Chief Executive of Miller commented “I’m delighted to welcome Nick as our first non-executive chairman as we have an excellent track record of active involvement by our non-executives. Nick will play an important part in the next phase of Miller’s development”

Nick Lyons commented “I am greatly honoured to become chairman of Miller. Having spent 4 years on the Board, I have had a good chance to meet many people here and to observe the positive changes that have taken place over that time. I am looking forward with great enthusiasm to working closely with everyone at Miller as we address the challenges posed by current market conditions and endeavour to keep driving Miller forward to meet our obligations towards our clients and our people.”
