John Eltham appointed to head North American broker business at Miller

Miller, the privately owned specialist insurance and reinsurance broker operating internationally and at Lloyd’s, is pleased to announce that John Eltham has been appointed Head of North American broker business.  The appointment is another demonstration of Miller’s commitment to take its drive for North American business to a new level. 

John’s insurance career began in 1981.  Since then he has gained a wealth of knowledge ranging across underwriting markets, products, geographic regions, claims and client relationships.  He has extensive experience of working with Fortune 500 companies, including programme design and negotiation.  John has been handling North American business for over 20 years.

John joined Miller in 1998 and has been a key figure in the development of North American business for the Company, which has enjoyed significant year on year growth.  Adopting a planned and researched approach has been the cornerstone of this success.  Miller has also recently invested in strengthening its service in the areas of property, casualty, power, utilities and professional risks through the recruitment of additional quality people.

John is a prominent industry figure and is regularly approached by the media as an opinion leader.  Twenty years ago, John was responsible for bringing Trade Disruption and War on Land Insurance to the industry and more recently has been heavily involved in the creation of Integrated Supply Chain cover, unique to Miller.
