Miller, the leading independent specialist (re)insurance broker, is today pleased to announce two new appointments to its leadership team in Asia, to enhance the firm’s core growth strategy in the region.

Nigel Cross has been appointed as Head of Facultative Reinsurance in Asia, and Matthew Hooker will take on an expanded role leading Miller’s client engagement strategy, following his appointment as Head of Energy and Marine in Asia Pacific. Matthew will work closely with Nick King as Head of Direct Marine in Asia Pacific.

Alongside his role as Head of Facultative Reinsurance, Nigel will also assume responsibility for leading Miller’s underwriting market engagement strategy in Singapore and the wider region.

The appointments reflect Miller’s continued commitment to its international expansion, and follow a number of senior hires in Asia over the past 18 months.
