Technician

Summary

This position will be responsible for providing all aspects of technical assistance to the Business unit.

 

The roles will involve:

 

  • Liaising with the accounting department to ensure timely processing, credit control and resolution of queries
  • Preparing all client documentation (cover notes, debit notes etc.) in an accurate and timely manner
  • Organising the recording and processing of all premium and paperwork in respect of monthly bordereaux including the maintenance of records to monitor 'missing' items
  • Liaising externally with Xchanging to ensure timely resolution of queries and settlement of premiums
  • Assist P&C division with EOC issuance, as required
  • Reviewing, monitoring and resolving of technical questions from clients and underwriters
  • Liaising with technical / support / broking and claims functions, to ensure that the client’s interests are maintained
  • Assisting in the provision of reports as required by and appropriate to your Business Unit
  • Maintaining electronic diary system to ensure that files are appropriately progressed
  • Assisting with other clerical duties as necessary
The candidate
  • Have experience as a Technician, specifically Lloyd’s processing and XIS experience
  • Experience of using CLASS and LORS systems
  • Have at least 5 GCSEs at grade C or above (including Maths and English)
  • Have a good level of proficiency in computer systems, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Explorer
  • Be able to prepare and maintain accurate and precise reports and records
  • Have understanding of relevant insurance laws, the technical aspects of various insurance policies and the fundamentals and procedures of advising on insurance
