An opportunity has arisen in Specialty for a Secretary to join the business unit, to work predominately with the Energy division.

This position will be responsible for providing secretarial and administrative support.

The role will involve:

  • Carrying out general office duties to include; ordering of stationery, scanning documents, minute taking and typing
  • Maintaining diary systems and scheduling meetings
  • Being responsible for all incoming post and arranging couriers
  • Answering telephones and taking concise messages
  • Organising travel arrangements and travel itineraries for the business unit
  • Monthly expenses reconciliation
  • Participating in preparing and presenting documents, using a variety of media
  • Assisting in the arrangement and co-ordination of presentations
  • Carrying out research for the business unit
  • Supplying details of visitors to reception and meeting and greeting visitors
  • Performing assigned responsibilities as delegated by more senior members of the team
The candidate

The candidate will:

  • Have proven experience in a secretarial role
  • Have obtained a secretarial qualification
  • Have GCSE Maths and English (at grade C or above)
  • Be able to type at a minimum of 50 wpm / 60 wpm shorthand and have the ability to audio-type
  • Be confident using Microsoft Outlook for diary management and competent on Microsoft Word, Excel and Internet Explorer
