1st January, Thomas Miller founds Thos. R. Miller & Son (Insurance) to complement the existing partnership of P&I managers.

1940s
The Miller insurance broking partnership separates to trade as marine insurance brokers.

1970s
Anticipating expanding client requirements, a holding company is created to allow diversification into new areas of business.

1980s
Sir Peter Miller introduces the Employee Trust that continues to underpin the company's independence today.

1991
With expansion through the creation of a number of trading companies and worldwide ventures, the name changes from Thos R. Miller & Son (Insurance) to The Miller Insurance Group Limited.

1999
The group is restructured from eight trading companies into one single entity, making it easier to share expertise across the different specialist areas.

2002
The company celebrates 100 years of successful trading with the launch of a new corporate identity and company name: Miller Insurance Services Limited.

2003
The company formalises its relationship with the Bermudian market place, setting up Miller Bermuda Limited.

2004
Miller launches an office in Hong Kong focussing on the design and placement of treaty and facultative reinsurance business, for local insurance and reinsurance companies and selected regional brokers.

2008
Miller is awarded 'Best Claims Broker' in the Global Broker and Underwriter's London Market Leaders survey.
A subsidiary office opened in Singapore - Miller Insurance Services (Singapore) Pte Ltd.

2009
The company’s first European branch is opened in Brussels designed to act as a base for the European facultative reinsurance team.
